Evidently, Google’s CEO Eric Schmidt had this to say in a recent expose’ on his company:

“If you have something that you don’t want anyone to know, maybe you shouldn’t be doing it in the first place.”

This is coming from the company that used to have as it’s mantra: “Do no evil.” What exactly they mean by evil has been up for debate for quite a while now. At least now we know at least one thing they think is evil. Privacy. It seems that when your business is knowing other people’s business it must be hard to keep your corporate philosophy straight. Schmidt is the worst type of “big business loves big government” corporate fascist. I guess it was inevitable. He certainly wielded the hammer of big government to squash Microsoft back when he was the CEO of Novell.
